THREE QUICK BITES FROM YOURS TRULY TO ENHANCE YOUR PIZZA GAME
ONE
Patience. Something we all can use a lot of!
Do you ever just get mad with the way someone talks? Opens a door? Chews? Where do these huge roadblocks of annoyances come from?? Maintaining patience in the restaurant industry is a full time job. Especially the higher up you are, and the more people you’re trying to please.
We can’t all be Obi-Won, Ned Flanders, or Kenneth Parcell. More often than not I have more patience than most… but somedays… I think Fred Durst explains days like these the best with the following snippet from his 1999 smash hit “Break Stuff” :
“Its just one of those days
Where you don’t want to wake up
Everything is fucked
Everybody sucks
You don’t really know why
But you want to justify
Rippin’ someone’s head off”
Now I don’t know if it’s lack of sleep, maybe the chipotle I ate the night before or if some days simply warrant more patience than others. One thing is clear though, everyone has these days. I think days like these are okay though. That’s what the word sorry is for.
Everyone can be an asshole, some days it’s hard not to be. We all just need to make sure we apologize for our Limp Bizkit days.
TWO
I am super pumped to sit down with Eidref from the “Whats Good Dough” This Friday! I love his energy and his pod.
I don’t know when it will actually be available to listen to, but I’ll be sure to let you know. He talked to Arthur Bovino Recently here. Super rad podcast with a lot of great insight.
THREE
“I think patience is a skill and I wish I had it.”
David Duchovny
It’s hard sometimes to be patient… with people, traffic or waiting almost 2 years for your restaurant open. If I have been a broken record about anything though it’s that there are always lessons to be learned in the hard shit, the bull shit, and the straight up shitty days.
It’s all perspective and at the end of the day it’s on us to be patient, happy, helpful, caring, honest, and all the other shit good ass human beings are. So in the beautiful words of Bob Marley, “lets get together and feel alright.”
EXTRA SLICE: Just a chill ass song, from the chillest, Tame Impala. VIIIIIIIIIIIBEZZZZZZZ.
