1.2.3 Changing Perspective, Vegan Cheeze-O-Rama & How to Never Get Old

ONE

My birthday was this week. Another year around the sun.

Age is a funny thing, it’s one of those things that is whatever you want it to be. This year I decided that it was an expansion of my perspective. I felt like I could see more of a bigger picture this year. That my lens got a little wider, and that was a good feeling.

Sometimes it’s easy to judge things if you can’t see all sides of them, or don’t care to.

Perspective has helped me to be more patient with my team at work. It has helped create the space to listen and see where they are coming from. It has helped me to be more present and in-tune with my family’s needs. It has helped me really focus on where I want to put my creative energy at “work.”

I’m excited for the lessons in store this year. Getting older fucking rocks.

THREE

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”

Henry Ford

It’s all in our mind, everything. I talk about perspective because just tweaking it a little bit can change your whole view on the world.

Everyday is so exciting because with it can come so much change, so much growth. The little things are where I find a ton of excitement because they can have big ripple effects.

I love this quote and couldn’t agree more. I will never stop learning, I will never stop changing, and I will never get “old.”
