1.2.3. Hard Work Will Always Pay Off If You Exercise Patience.

Hey, it’s Alex—

Being an entrepreneur can be daunting.

It’s like diving into the deep end of a pool without knowing how to swim. You’re faced with numerous challenges, and there’s no safety net or lifeguard to assist you.

It’s a process of trial and error, and while it’s a tough way to learn, it’s often the most effective, even though it can hinder your economic growth.

There’s a common misconception, one that I’ve worked hard to debunk on Pie 2 Pie…

Many believe that being your own boss is this amazing, enjoyable experience that brings endless happiness and wealth, but the reality is much harsher. Behind the scenes, it’s stressful and frightening.

While Hot Tongue has yet to become profitable, like most start ups or investments early on, it does generate income. However, the venture Matt and I have undertaken requires an immense amount of effort with little to no financial return.

For over two years, we’ve been dedicated to producing podcasts, YouTube content, newsletters, articles, websites, and resources to foster community, empathy, and awareness among pizza entrepreneurs.

Amidst the struggle, I remind myself that the journey is as important as the destination.

While it may seem dull at the top, and even perhaps comfortable, the real magic is happening now, in the midst of the challenges.

If you don’t remind yourself of these things, not a lot of people will, and once you start second-guessing yourself, it’s a slippery slope.

Whether you’re building a business, a family, or a home, it’s the struggles along the way that make the eventual success so rewarding.

As I have said before and will repeat again, celebrate the small wins, talk nicely to yourself, and remember that hard work and dedication will always pay off if you have the patience.

Sometimes, I have to write it down myself so I can make sure it sinks in.

“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”
