1.2.3. Great Restaurants, BIG Mistakes & Harnessing The Power of Word-of-Mouth

THREE QUICK BITES FROM YOURS TRULY TO ENHANCE YOUR PIZZA GAME

ONE

What is a great restaurant for you? A good one to me is a lot like a great neighbor. A place that offers comfort, warmth and maybe some sugar if you’re short for a cake. A place that feels familiar and welcoming. A place that feels like home. Where you can hear laughter in the back, and the staff working looks like they’re having as much fun as you are.

To me a good restaurant is consistent, clean and full of love. This is what I want to feel when I walk into any space or take a bite of any food.

In my opinion this all starts with a solid team. A team that loves being around one another, that loves what they are doing and believes in what they are making and serving every day. Those are the secret ingredients. People’s time and how they want to put that time into service and that food can make all the difference. Choose your team wisely.

THREE

“If you have a good experience in a restaurant, you tell 2 people. If you have a bad experience, you tell 10 people.”

Anthony Bourdain

Word of mouth is a very very powerful thing. Creating an experience from the jump is incredibly important. People start eating well before food is put on their plate. They eat up how long it took to find parking, good or bad customer service, how well things looked before they made it in their mouths, and what it all cost. These things are all just as important to any recipe. Your team has to hit all these marks before food even hits a table. It’s no easy task, but with the right people it’s just another day.

What is it that you love about your favorite restaurant?

Maybe do them a favor and tell 10 people about them this week. It’s tough out here!

EXTRA SLICE: There is no place like home!
