Hey there— Alex here,
I’m writing to you from the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, so this is going to be short and sweet!
These conventions are a lot like life. You make them whatever you want them to be.
This year is the first time I have ever gone by myself. Much different than all my prior years, where I would be accompanied by 4 or 5 team members. It’s been a nice change, and being alone has forced me into some more vulnerable positions that I would have never put myself in if surrounded by friends.

It has helped me see the Pizza Expo with new eyes, and it has genuinely been a good time. I’ve gotten to hang out with old friends and make new ones.
I have gotten a lot more out of this year’s expo by just changing my perspective.
Sometimes it is good to shake things up, do the complete opposite and see what happens. I didn’t know what to expect this year but I like where it’s going.
