Vegan Mozzarella Recipe, Open Doors & Shit Days

3 BITES EVERYONE KNOWS THE RULES

ONE

Last week I got to sit down with Brad Kent

You may know Brad from Olio’s Pizza and Bagel + Slice.

He’s basically at the same stage as Hot Tongue is for opening his doors.

It was so nice going back and forth about war stories of trying to open a pizza shop. It’s not fucking easy, and it seems
like the same things happen to different people.

Not that I wish any bad thing to happen to anyone, but it was almost a relief knowing I am not the only one who’s going through these
incredibly stressful hoops.

Anyway, Brad is fucking rad and his food looks amazing.

TWO

I haven’t been able to find any time to write down my new recipes!

Instead, I wanted to share this vegan mozzarella recipe that’s super good.

Check it out here!

THREE

I had a shit week last week.

Literally, my dog shit on my living room floor, then my Roomba ran it over and spread shit all over my house. That was just a fraction of the shit that hit the fan last week.

I was talking to one of my best friends and they said something I really liked. They said,

When I’m having a shitty day I repeat to myself. ‘Bad day, good life’.

It’s easy to get caught up with what’s right in front of my face, especially in the hospitality industry.

Once I can pan out of the shot and see the whole picture, that’s when shit in my Roomba is more funny than it is maddening.

Life isn’t easy, I wouldn’t want it to be. Sometimes it’s gonna be a bad day, but I know I have a good life.

EXTRA SLICE:

Here is actual video of a typical night in New York City before covid hit.
