1.2.3. Sporadic Triumphs & Tough Lessons

Hey it’s Alex,

Embarking on something new is usually pretty scary.

For Matt and me, our journey began with an email titled:

CHIPOTLE KANYE PIZZA LORDING? It’s easy if you do it smart 2.0

It was a moment tied to my deep admiration for Steve Ells, Chipotle’s founder—his principles, ambition, and the straightforwardness of his product, as well as Kanye’s music.

That single email triggered a cascade of creations: YouTube videos, a podcast, and this very newsletter.

Now, as I write my 100th newsletter every Wednesday, I find it surreal. Each edition is an attempt to share my thoughts, hoping they might resonate with at least one person.

While sometimes it delves into pizza, more often, it explores the complexities of the human experience on this planet. The process of sitting down weekly to pen my reflections has proven invaluable.

100 weeks ago, I recognized I wasn’t as confident, curious, humble, or ambitious.

These past two years have been a medley of tough lessons and sporadic triumphs.

Matt and I don’t possess a concrete endpoint for this journey, but we’re endlessly grateful for those who’ve joined us along the way.

Thank you for tuning in, you’re appreciated.

“Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Love, crust, and pizza dust,
