Hey, it’s Alex—
Last week was tough.
Every day seemed to bring a new challenge, turning an already busy schedule into a minefield. We all have weeks like this; they’re hard to get through, but they build our character.
It’s a real test to put our words into action.
I always say that food is the easiest part of the business. Anyone can cook, follow a recipe, and create something delicious, but few can lead.
Leading with empathy, respect, humor, and joy is what sets you apart when it feels like everything is burning, whether that be a pizza or your oven.
The true magic in this business, in my opinion, lies in the people you surround yourself with—your team and your peers.
We are tested daily with stress and unforeseen circumstances.
Just because we are having a tough day, week, or time, it’s a good reminder that that is no excuse to act any differently than you would if you were having the best day ever. Shout out to my wife for keeping me whole last week. I was close to being scrambled eggs.
“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.”
– Wayne Dyer
Our vegan white slice at Hot Tongue hits pretty hard.
Probably the reason it’s one of the top sellers since day one.
