1.2.3. Good Ideas, Making Pizza Dough & Stepping Outside your Comfort Zone

THREE QUICK BITES FROM YOURS TRULY TO ENHANCE YOUR PIZZA GAME

ONE

Ideas are funny things, some stick and some don’t.

Ideas are easy to talk about but harder to follow through on. What a good idea needs is execution, commitment and then the follow through.

Half the battle sometimes is actually mustering up the energy to put one foot in front of the other. This is the difference between a great idea and an amazing outcome. Every time I get an idea I try my best to start working on it right away. So then it becomes an itch that I have to relieve. A tick that keeps me searching google at night, researching and failing my way up. Thats how I let every idea grow. There is no better time than right now.

Pushing something down the road is an easy way to lose the motivation and an idea all together. It’s very important in the restaurant industry to constantly be reinventing, revisiting and reevaluating everything from your policies and your recipes to how you clean your bathrooms. Don’t sleep on anything. The only bad idea is the one you don’t actually try out.

TWO

The “easy come, easy dough” recipe now has a video!

This is the same exact dough recipe we use for all our Dads Only pop ups. Which, btw we will be dropping a very limited run of Dads Only tees this Friday on our online clothing shop.

Anyway, this video will have you rolling dough like a pro in no time!

THREE

“Do one thing that scares you every day.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

I love this quote and I plan on stepping farther out of my comfort zone everyday to do something that scares me, at least once a day.

I read this quote this week after Matt introduced me to Casey Neistat. This quote is featured in his Nike campaign video of his travels around the world. The short film was incredibly energizing to me. This video is proof of the power of an insane idea put into action. That crazy ass idea became one of Nikes biggest campaigns, and if you watch the video I think it’s easy to understand why. The images and emotions it provokes are incredibly inspiring. I literally yelled out loud MORE LIFE when I was watching it.

It’s important to have crazy ideas, not everyone has a budget from Nike to follow through with them, but what is it they say? If there is a will, there is a way! It’s always up to us.

Love, crust, and pizza dust,
