Hey, It’s Alex,
Consistency is one of the most important aspects of the restaurant industry.
You want every customer to have a great and similar experience each time they visit. While it may seem obvious, achieving this consistency is much harder than it looks.
Whether you have a small or large team, communicating and properly training everyone to do things the same way can be overwhelming. Even with the best training, people tend to put their own spin on things, thinking “it’s better that way.”
So, how do you keep your restaurant consistent?
It comes down to a few key practices: constant communication, thorough training, well-defined processes and policies to put on your prep tables and doors, and frequent reminders for you and your team about what is expected.
It may sound “corporate”, but if I need reminding, everyone else probably does too. Just today, I created a dough map for the weekly pars we should follow. This is something we’ve discussed for months, and I’m confident this list will significantly improve our dough production.
Don’t procrastinate—create clear maps to the buried treasure so your team and your customers are swimming in gold every time!
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” — Seneca

It makes it much easier to be consistent when you have people like these paving the way.
