It’s so easy to get hung up on big picture goals when running a business. Things like projections, analytics, labor, food cost, followers, likes, money, blah blah blah. Big picture metrics can become paralyzing when they aren’t meeting expectations.
You know what I find really helpful when those big things aren’t going as planned?? to celebrate the things that are.
Celebrating the simple things is powerful. Get excited about a great new hire, a new idea for a recipe, or just surviving a busy ass service. These things can be just as important to concentrate on as the big picture, because the small things are what make the big wins possible. The magic happens slowly.
Give yourself permission to celebrate those small wins. It can help open up new perspectives that push you towards those larger goals in ways you didn’t envision. It’s easy to dwell on the things we don’t have, but if we really look around, there are always things to be grateful for, there are always things to celebrate.
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
Vincent van Gogh
