A Marinara Recipe That Won’t Take All Day

This simple yet satisfying recipe for marinara holds true to keeping it simple but that doesn’t mean we will hold back on flavor. Salt don’t cost a thing in flavor town!

Marinara Sauce

This simple yet satisfying recipe for marinara holds true to keeping it simple but that doesn’t mean we will hold back on flavor.

What You'll need

  • Kitchen scale
  • Immersion Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 90 grams Diced Yellow Onion
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil (for sautéing onion)
  • 28 oz Organic Bianco Dinapoli Crushed Tomato
  • 12 grams Olive Oil
  • 9 grams Kosher Salt
  • 8 grams Oregano
  • 3 grams Pepper
  • 10 grams Basil
  • 45 grams Water

Instructions
 

  • Dice up your onion
  • Heat a large saucepan and then add the oil
  • Add onion and let them brown a bit at medium to high heat
  • Take pan off heat
  • Add the salt, pepper, and oregano
  • Pour sauce into pan and mix everything together
  • Put back on medium heat
  • Cook down sauce for about 10 minutes 
  • Add water and cook for another 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes
  • Add the contents to a food processor
  • Add basil and pulse 15-20 times

BOOM. FUCKING MARIANRA THAT DIDN’T HAVE TO SIT ON THE STOVE ALL DAY!
